Fifth Ave Floral - Hostess Treat

I thought I would try the wonderful Rose from Fifth Ave Floral in Blue tones when water colouring today and it is just lovely. You really can't go wrong when water colouring these roses as there really is no right or wrong colour for a rose. Using Bashful Blue and Pacific Point Ink refill I coloured this rose using the same technique as my posting 2 days ago (fool proof water colouring). Now you might just be sitting there thinking what on earth has she attached that Rose to, Well it's a secret.....I can tell you this...It will be a Hostess gift for a very lucky Host on Saturday and I can tell you it is filled with Samples of Blue Ribbons. Now you just need to wait 1 more week and I might just have a sneek peek of something/s New on my Blog. I will see you all very soon and I will be back on Monday with a fantastic New Stamp Set to Feature and a wonderful New Special.

Fifth Ave Floral - Scrapbooking Page

I have been waiting so long to play with this wonderful Bella Rose Designer Series paper and thought I would add these beautiful roses with it. The fifth Ave floral stamp set looks wonderful with all your Wedding, Romance and Girly pages. I have added some of the little crochet flowers from page 14 of the Summer mini to this page and added a little colour to them using the Rose Red Re-Inkers. The roses have been popped up 4 levels using Foam dimensionals and unfortunately the Real Red Grosgrain ribbon on the left of the page has blended into the photo, but you can see I have added a clear Rhinestone Brad at each end of the ribbon and also in the middle of the crochet flowers.

Fifth Ave Floral-Water Colour with Ink Refill

OK, Pam your wonderful Rose on the beautiful card I posted yesterday has finally made me try this fantastic technique out myself. Its the most fool proof way of watercolouring ever known. (You can not go wrong).
*Firstly using the Stampin Up Water Colour Paper Emboss the Rose in White embossing powder.
*Spray with a mist of water until small pools of water form onto the top of the paper.
*Place 2-3 drops of your chosen colour ink refill into a plastic lid. (I have usd Pretty in Pink Refill for this Rose)
*Then using your Aqua Painter pickup small amounts of colour from the Ink refill droplets on your lid and spread gently along your rose petals. As the ink on the Aqua painter hits the water it will appear to run.
*Add more ink to your rose until you reach the desired affect.
*The completed Rose will take approx. 30 minutes to dry enough to safely cut out.
I hope you enjoy this beautiful Rose and wonderful technique and would love to hold a workshop to teach you and your friends how to perfect this wonderul Fool proof Watercolouring.

Fifth Ave Floral- New Feature Card

I just love this set and I know many of you have purchased it so thought it's time to drag it out and have a go. For anyone with this set I would love to see your Samples. Fifth Ave Floral can be found on page 82 of the main catalogue priced at $45.95; this set makes beautiful Mothers day cards and lovely scrap booking pages. Watch for some wonderful idea's and inspiration this week.
I have made the flower pot and attached to the card front. I used all the flowers from the Fifth ave Floral Stamp Set and coloured them using water colour crayons. The pot it's self has been sponged with Close to cocoa ink and the wonderful Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon looks beautiful around the top of the pot. Although difficult to see from the photo I have placed Dazzling Diamond Glitter in the centre of the flowers.

Seaside Box with Guylian Chocolates

We all love Love chocolates (well 99% of us anyway) and I needed to make a little gift for someone special. I thought what better stamp to decorate this lovely little box of Guylian Sea Shells with than the wonderful Seaside Stamp. You can co-ordinate your gift packaging to whats inside your gift. For this box I made a simple little box base and stamped shells all over in pretty in Pink. I then placed a piece of Chocolate Chip ribbon around the top to hide the raw edge. To make the top I made a band that goes around the middle with some Designer Series paper (in chocolate chip of course), with a square scallop I punched through the middle so we can see whats on the inside (yummy chocolates). I stamped and water coloured some wonderul Shells and attached them using the 2 way Glue pen. Stamp yourself some words and you have a personalised and wonderful gift for a Friend or Teacher. The hardest part of this little box set is not eating the chocolates.

Today is our last Day with the beautiful Seaside Stamp Set, I will be doing many more of my scrapbooking pages with this set and will post them here when I do. Tomorrow I will be back with a Brand New Feature Set for the week and all I can say is it's another beautiful set.

Seaside - Photo Card

For all of you that scrapbook, I am sure you will agree that we always end up with that odd photo left over that didn't suit the page or maybe didn't fit. Well until now I just throw them away or added them to the ever mounting pile of 1 day I'll do something with that and what better time than now. A fun and fast card to send to family and friends can be made simply by using your left over photo's. This photo was left from the page I posted a couple of days ago and instead of adding to the pile I thought, I would send it off to family in the UK. I have stamped the background in Shells from Seaside mounted the photo on a piece of cardstock I had left from a kit and in 10 minutes I have created a beautiful card, that Grand parents will love. The Shells were stamped onto white cardstock and sponged using close to cocoa and navy, then placed along the card using 3-Dimensional Foam dots.

Seaside - Kids Card

I love this little whale from Animal Stories Stamp Set and thought what better background than shells. Just shows how universal this set is. It is difficult to see in this photo but I have placed some little droplets of crystal affects on the backs of each whale. I love making these cards that appear to be like a film strip and think they also look wonderful on Scrapbooking pages.

Seaside Scrapbooking page

I have been waiting so long to scrapbook these photos of the boys at Lighthouse beach in Port Macquarie. I think these shells stamped on Kraft and Sahara Sand Cardstock look wonderful with Beach photo's and I will be using them again very soon for some other pages while we were at the beach. I have used the Something Fishy Jumbo wheel along the bottom of my page to make it feel even more beachy. Watch closely for more explanation on Harry and The bike at the Beach!!
I am really enjoying getting back into my scrap booking after such a long time without time to even look at it. I would be happy to teach and run classes for anyone wanting to learn more.

These cards are known as Joy fold cards. Again I have Water Colour Crayoned the Shell and think it looks wonderful in the earthy colours. Seaside - Card

Using this set really makes you want to go to the beach, I am having lots of fun playing with it and during this week I have some wonderful projects to share with you. I started off with Some Sahara Sand Cardstock this is a great neutral colour that looks great with these Shells. I have Water Coloured using Crayons this Shell giving it a natural soft look.

I'm not to sure what my Brads were thinking when I put them in; the hole lined up perfectly but when I inserted the brads it appeared they may have had 1 to many drinks. I finished off the card with Hemp twine tied around the middle of the card.

Back soon with more inspiration.
