Chocolate Sleeve Teacher Xmas presents

Well I must first start by saying I know I have been very slack over recent weeks. I have suffered terribly with 5 weeks of varying infections totally killing all my immune system and preventing me from doing any more than the necessities. So before we wrap up the Year and the Christmas Season I thought I would pop in with a post or 2 Featuring some wonderful little gifts I made for all those wonderful people in my Children's Lives-Their Teachers. Many of you attended workshops where we made these wonderful Chocolate Sleeves for Fathers Day but these were so fun and quick to make with a little Embossing on the big shot and a Christmas stamp and they were finished.

I just could not resist making some of these for my husbands work colleagues after I was shown them by a fellow demonstrator, Thanks Leanne. The top note die really is so versatile for any project. Folded in half they make perfect little bag toppers for party favours or treat bags.

Lovely as a Tree - Christmas

Christmas just wouldn't be christmas without lovely as a Tree, some where in that card stack. This Christmas I have been teaching ots of my lovely ladies the Masking Technique. It really is a very quick and very affective technique, giving lots of WOW..

Using the Lovely New Incolour Pear Pizzazz, and finished off with some beautiful dazzling diamonds this card is quick, glittery and only uses 1 layer of cardstock. A very cost effective card when you need to make lots..

Christmas Card Buffet-Last Event of 2010.

Thought I would throw in a little sneak Peek of whats on offer at this Fridays, Card Buffet. The last event of 2010. I still have places available so would love to see you and your friends. Thank You for a Wonderful 2010 Christmas Party

I must start by Saying a BIG Thank You to everyone who attended the Christmas Party on Saturday, Its so lovely to be able to say Thank you for all your support during 2010 . A wonderful time was had by all, lots of Little gifts were taken home and it was so exciting to play with some brand New Summer mini product as we Slipped in a little release celebration to. Lunch was FANTASTIC and really not achievable with out the Help of my Mum and Jacob. Well done and Thank You so much.

We all had a wonderful time playing with the Itty bitty bits Stamp Set, buttons and punches. Although a little time consuming with such a HUGE group it really was lots of fun. I think you might just see lots of these little buttons appearing in coming months on all my samples. The Happy Birthday words used are from the Well Scripted stamp set, another beautiful words set now available in clear or wood mount. The little tiny hearts in this brand New Pinking Hearts decorative border punch are just so delicate and girlie and very very cute.

Ronald McDonald House Fundraiser a HIT!!

I must send a HUGE Thank You to everyone who helped us support Ronald McDonald House again this Year. It was wonderful to have such a lovely group of ladies come along and make some wonderful Cards. I am sure all the Prize winners went home very happy Thank You to Stampin Up and Avon.
The card Buffet proved to be very popular with everyone being able to choose there own cards to make following the instructions at each table (A selection of the cards on offer can be seen here).. If you were unable to come along on Friday Night or would simply like to come back and finish your cards for Christmas, I will be repeating the card buffet as a DAY EVENT on Friday December 10th from 10:30am-2:30pm. Welcome to the World Baby Lynken

I wanted to give you all the Wonderful News on the much anticipated arrival of Baby Lynken. Many of you know Chantelle from my lovely Cessnock group of girls, We were all very sad when complications forced Chantelle from attending the Mt Tamborine Retreat in August. Well after Nearly 3 months in hospital Baby Lynken made an unexpected sudden arrival 2 weeks ago, at only 35 weeks. Lynken was born with under-developed Lungs and had a Huge struggle for the first week of his life causing all of his Family great Stress. I am now very pleased to announce Lynken and Chantelle have yesterday been released to go home to there Family. He is the most beautiful baby and going to be very loved by all his brothers and Sister. Congratulations John and Chantelle and we can not wait to see him, at stamping soon.

I have been very busy creating some wonderful Gifts for Christmas, Can you believe it will be here before we know it.

Christmas Creations by Nadine

I knew we were going to see some wonderful Cards come from Nadine once she got underway and I must say I love the use of Lovely as a Tree on this card. Its just amazing how a Non - Christmas Stamp set can be used to create a beautiful christmas Card. The baubles have been used from the Deightful Decoration Stamp Set. Thanks for Sharing Nadine and can't wait to see what else you have been busy creating.

Delightful Decorations - Christmas Card

Where is the year going, another week down, another week closer to Christmas. I must start by apologising to anyone on my mailing list reading this Post. The October newsletter is on its Way to you VERY soon. (I promise).

I thought I would share this lovely Christmas Card in Non-Traditional colours. Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White. The Delightful Decoration set really has become one of my favourite sets. I must admit having a co-ordinating Punch to these baubles saves hours of cutting out and just looks perfect. Watch as I have lots more Christmas surprises over coming weeks appearing on my blog.

Neighborhood Jumbo Wheel-Happy House Warming

I just had to have this Neighborhood Jumbo Wheel as soon as it came out, but must confess it's been one of those things that has gathered more dust than had use. So What better excuse to drag it out than to send a good friend a Happy House Warming Card. After a long wait she has finally moved into her New home. The possibilities are endless with this wheel and I can see some Fantastic Scrapbooking pages coming up using it.

World Card Making Day - Scrap Challenge

With World card making Day now come and gone I wanted to share some of the wonderful Cards, created by some of the lovely Ladies who attended.

I must say when I first announced there would be a "Scrap Challenge" Many of the faces turned to horror. But I am sure everyone will agree it was not at all stressful and definitely lots of Fun.

Given 1 Hour to make 2 standard sized Cards or 1 x 12x12 Page. Everyone was provided with Crumb Cake Cardstock as a Base. The only requirement for this Challenge was YOU MUST use some Scrap card/paper from my scrap box. This is a HUGE box filled with off cuts from when I cut Kits and work on my own projects.

It was a wonderful afternoon and Everyone went home making some fantastic Projects.

The following Cards were created by Leanne S and Leanne H.. Well done girls, you along with everyone else really made some wonderful Cards.

Elements of Style - Spotlight Technique

I just had to share with you the Wonderful Card all the Girls made at our World Card Making Day Event. Teaching the "Spotlight Technique" Elements of style is just fabulous to use when you want to colour the whole image or when just selecting parts to add bursts of colour to using the Spotlight Technique.

The background of this card has been embossed using the Vintage Wall Paper Embossing folder for the Bigshot.

Lets Celebrate World Card Making Day 2010

Happy World Card Making Day to everyone around the World today, Whether you will be joining in on the activities organised by various groups or staying home to craft, just think that today is the 1 day we are all sitting together to make it a great day. There will lots of available room for the Newcastle girls looking for a day out to come along to my World Card Making Day Event at Windale, See Events (to the Right) for Further information.

I just had to share this very Happy and wonderful little card I made using my favourite friend the Owl Punch. After days of trawling the shops I finally found little googly eye's and they make him look so cute. The DSP is from the Greenhouse Gala Collection teamed up with New Daffodil Delight Card stock.

Mini Milk Carton-Party Treats

I just had to share these very cute little Mini Milk Carton Treat Boxes Faylene made, Each of the Children were given at Declan's Party. Wheeled with Classic Stars Jumbo wheel in Pink for the girls and Blue for Boys all of the Children thought these were just great. The Big Shot really has made Treats for Party's and Gift idea's so much fun and definitely quick and Easy.

Lots of Bots-Happy Birthday Declan

Well how many of you can guess what I have Polka Dot embossed..... yes it is Silver and I am sure everyone will have plenty on hand to experiment with right now. That's right its Al foil, who would have ever thought you could use Al foil outside of the Kitchen.
It does become rather delicate after being embossed, but just looks stunning with these cute little characters from LOTS OF BOTS. I am sure Declan is going to love his Card.

Dasher - Christmas Countdown.

Where is the time going, another week down and we now only have 12 WEEKS till Christmas.

Dasher is New to the 2010-2011 Stampin Up catalogue and he is Just wonderful. He is definitely going to be one of my favourites this Christmas Season. Add some New Diamante's and of-course that lovely Satin Ribbon and you have your self a Quick and Beautiful Card. Watch for more Dasher cards over coming weeks.

Fifth Ave Floral - Kids Creations

Its been a Very long time since we had any Kids Creations and It really is wonderful to see the wonderful creations our Clever Kids come up with.

Jacob made this wonderful card for his Nan recently after the passing away of his Pop and it really is just wonderful to see such a simple but elegant card. Jacob made the complete card without any help and I must say Nan was very happy with her card. I think there definately may be a fight over who is using the Bigshot first in our house now.

Birthday Baroque

Its really lovely to be able to Play with an old Favourite and feel like it is New again. Baroque Motifs has been around for a couple of Years Now but when you add some new colour combinations to it, it feels like its Brand new and Just waiting to be played with.
Stamped in Early Espresso the Swirly Baroque Motifs design looks fantastic with these little Flowers punched from the Boho Blossom Punch.

I know for many it is possibly a shock I have managed to get 2 posts in a row on. Life if returning to normality and I can not wait to play with all my New toys. Using the Holly Jolly Designer Series Paper and finished off with 2 little Diamante, this is another fun to make card. I am so Excited Stampin Up now stock the adhesive Diamante and Pearls. You will see them appearing lots leading up to Christmas.

I'm Back after a very long absence...

I have to send to you all a very sincere apology for the lack in postings of late. I went away to QLD for the Mt Tamborine Retreat of which we all had a WONDERFUL time. I met some wonderful New ladies and we all ate, scrapped and stamped more than we could have imagined possible. A fantastic weekend was had by all and I am working on setting a date for next year.

After a minor mechanical issue on Monday I was all set to come home on Tuesday but a phone call in the middle of the night confirmed my Father-in-law had passed away after a long battle with cancer and Alzheimer's. I was a long way from home and had a very distraught husband and children. I have spent the week since arriving home Tuesday co-ordinating funeral arrangements and caring for my family. Over coming weeks you may notice fewer posts and less planned classes and Events.
I do apologise for this and look forward to getting back into it all with you very soon. We have a brand New catalogue being Released this Wednesday and I can not wait to share with you all the excitement and fantastic New products.

Sneek Peak-Baby Bundle

Another Beautiful Baby Card in celebration of our week of all things baby.. I made this beautiful baby Girl Baby Shower card for the wonderful Bianca. We all had a wonderful time at her Baby shower on Saturday and lots of beautiful gifts were received.

Artisitc Etchings-Sneak Peek

It seems to be all about babies lately, with Baby showers every weekend for weeks and New little ones arriving soon. I thought I would share this little sneak peek with you. Featuring the Vintage wallpaper Embossing Folder (New for the Big shot) and the Words from Occasional Quotes a level 3 Hostess Set I just think it came together beautifully. What little prince wouldn't deserve to receive this card.

Fathers Day-Retirement Fun.

A Fantastic night was had by all at the Retirement List Party last night. We made this Fantastic Chocolate block Sleeve fantastic for Dad's Special Day. Using the greeting from Occasional greetings "Happy Fathers Day". And the Classic Star Jumbo Wheel to make a quick gift for any occasion.

Vintage Vogue-Scrapbooking Page

I can tell you, that Vintage Vogue Stamp Set is staying with us for at least another year. It will be returning to the Brand New 2010-2011 Stampin Up catalogue. I have been having lots of fun using Vintage Vogue on all my projects and even though Flowers are not pre-dominantly used on Boys pages they often give it a subtle fresh look.
